Spicy Spaghetti Meat Sauce
1 lb. ground beef 1 tsp. salt
¼ c. chopped onions ¼ tsp. pepper
¼ c. chopped green pepper 2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
¼ c. olive oil 1 tsp. celery salt
2 (15 oz.) cans tomato sauce 2 tsp. garlic salt
*2 tomato sauce cans water 8 drops of hot sauce
2 (6 oz.) cans tomato paste 2 tsp. chili powder
2 tsp. chopped parsley *1 can mushrooms
Brown the ground beef, onions and green pepper in olive oil in a large skillet, then add remaining ingredients. Simmer for at least 4 hours, adding water as needed and stirring occasionally. Serve over cooked spaghetti.
*I do not add w full cans of water. I fill each empty can almost half full and rinse out all of the sauce and then add the water to the pan. Two full cans of water has made the sauce too thin and watery. Just add it as it cooks and if you think the sauce is thickening too much.
* I often use fresh mushrooms instead of canned—(one box)
I got this recipie from a friend. It was absolutely delicious but for a good reason! There is a lot of grease involved. Not something you want to eat on a frequent basis. However, you could eliminate the extra oil and use lean beef or ground turkey. Of course, it would not be as yummy.
